How to Make Pizza in an Air Fryer: Roll Out the Crust Start the air fryer at 400 degrees. Roll out the crust to a very thin layer—less than ¼ inch. Using a fork, prick the entire thing to help it bake flat. Mist the air fryer basket’s bottom. Raise the crust and gently drop it into the basket.
Prior to Baking: Cook for one minute in the air fryer, then turn and cook for a further minute. (After 30 seconds, check to make sure the crust hasn’t folded in half or flipped.) Continue with the remaining crusts.
Layer Toppings: Top previously baked crusts with toppings. To prevent the pepperoni and lighter toppings from blowing off while cooking, I advise putting the cheese last.
Cook: Cook pizzas in an air fryer for one to three minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the pizza is thoroughly warmed through. To check, you can open the basket.
Prepare in Advance and Freeze Guidelines:
To Make Ahead: The night before, prepare your own pizza dough and place it in a covered bowl to rise in the refrigerator. Another option is to prepare your own pizza sauce a few days ahead of time.
Before freezing, bake the crusts and add the toppings. To flash freeze pizzas, put them on a baking sheet and place them in the freezer for 30 minutes. After that, place them inside a freezer-safe ziplock bag and wrap them tightly in plastic wrap. For up to three months, freeze.
Before air-frying frozen pizza, preheat the air fryer to 370°F. For 6 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the dough is crispy, cook frozen pizza.
Recipe Modifications:
Pizza dough from the store: You can use mini boboli or flatbread crusts for the pizza dough. The crust should not be baked. After adding the toppings, heat at 370 degrees for the cheese to melt and the crust to crisp.
Pizza Reheat in an Air Fryer: Open the refrigerator and remove any remaining pizza. Set the air fryer’s temperature to 370°. Cook until heated and crispy, 2 to 3 minutes.
